MOLINE, IL – WQPT, Quad Cities PBS invites veterans who served in the United States military, in any capacity, from World War I through the present and those no longer serving, to share their story of service as a part of the Library of Congress’ Veterans History Project.

The event will be held November 11 from 9 am to noon at WQPT, located at Riverfront Hall on the campus of Western Illinois University – Quad Cities, 3300 River Drive, Moline, Illinois.

Each story will be recorded and preserved.  In October 2015 WQPT recorded 37 stories that were delivered to the Library of Congress by Rep. Cheri Bustos and Rep. Dave Loebsack on behalf of the station.

“We encourage those participating to bring in photos and letters to be scanned and included with their 30 minute recorded session,” said Mary Pruess WQPT General Manager. “It is our hope to record at least 15 stories during the November 11 event,” Pruess said.

Make an appointment for your interview by calling WQPT at 309-764-2400.
