Collectors and operators of model trains will have a great time at the Quad City Botanical Center's Garden Railroad on Saturday, October 15, Noon-4:00 p.m.!  Come join us at the Center for the first "Operating Session" for garden "G Scale" model railroad trains.  Those train collectors who participate on the second Saturday of October will have free admission, which affords a priceless opportunity for experienced owners and collectors of "G Scale" to run their own engines and stock on the largest public garden railroad in the Quad City region.  Additionally "G Scale" collectors will meet other enthused collectors from Rock Island County and beyond.  It will be a great day to network and share tips of the model train trade to enhance your own model train operations.  As the amazing trains travel over the garden's miniature landscapes, kids will marvel at the variety and character of the life-like terrain and towns of the Center's garden railroad, featuring the special trains of visiting operators from Iowa and Illinois. The train "Operating System" will be a great time for photo bugs to capture their own pictures of the amazing model trains as they entertain families all afternoon in the beautiful multitrack garden.  This will be a grand occasion for multi-generational fans of Rock Island's premiere Botanical Center, which includes the largest garden railroad and children's garden--with lazy river and splash pool--in Northwest Illinois!  Bring your "G Scale" trains on October 15th and enjoy the fun!
