DAVENPORT, IA – December 2017 –Gilda’s Club, is hosting a FREE Self-Care: Awareness, Acknowledgement, Action workshop for anyone impacted by cancer on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Gilda’s Club Quad Cities (1234 East River Drive, Davenport). Mindfulness and a holistic approach to health has become more of a focus in today’s fast-paced society. The topics Parish Nurses Linda Guebert MS, RN and Jennifer Hildebrand RN,BS will discuss are related to mental, physical, and spiritual health. The workshop will begin with a PowerPoint on the basics of self-care and how it relates to us. Then we will turn to a workbook to dive deeper into Awareness by completing a variety of self-assessments. This will help each of you understand and Acknowledge your individual gifts and needs. This acknowledgement will give you guidance for which area of self-care to take Action. Anyone impacted by cancer is welcome to attend. Pre-registration is required.
