DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 17, 2020) — A swearing-in and promotional ceremony was held this morning at the Sheriff's Office Patrol Headquarters located at 3206 South 16th Avenue in Eldridge. Misty Bunker has been hired as the newest deputy sheriff for Scott County and Deputy Sean Thompson has been promoted to the rank of sergeant.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 1, 2020)  Scott County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Roxanna Moritz confirmed today that the Iowa Primary Election in Scott County will be held tomorrow, June 2, 2020. The polls will be open, 7AM-9PM, pursuant to state law.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 29, 2020) — The Scott County Sheriff has announced the first positive case of COVID-19 in the Scott County Jail. Recently an inmate was booked into the jail on new charges. Prior to being brought to jail, the inmate, who was not showing symptoms, was tested for COVID-19 based on a statement that the inmate believed they would test positive.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 20, 2020) — In addition to our Fairmount Window opening, the Davenport Public Library has scheduled Curbside Pickup available at Main (321 Main St. and Eastern (6000 Eastern Avenue) for limited hours beginning on Tuesday, May 26, 1–5PM. Curbside will be available Monday-Friday, 1–5PM for hold pick-ups only.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 28, 2020) — Iowa 211 announced today that it has just reached the milestone of 35,000 calls from Iowans since the pandemic began. Iowa 211 began fielding calls using information provided by The Iowa Department of Public Health on March 8. Since beginning that partnership, nearly 20,000 Iowans from all 99 counties have contacted 211 via telephone, text, or the 211 app to ask questions specifically related to COVID-19.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (March 25, 2020) — Two additional cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed in Scott County residents. Both are middle aged adults (41-60 years of age) who are currently hospitalized.
