May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

The month of May gives us an opportunity to increase public awareness about the challenges faced by those struggling with mental illness. It also encourages us to consider reforms to policies that affect these individuals as well as their friends and family members.

The "threat" Trump appears to be responding to is a statement from Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif that "[w]e are certain ... there will not be a war since neither we want a war nor does anyone have the illusion that they can confront Iran in the region."

On Friday, May 24, she will campaign in Council Bluffs and Des Moines. This will be Sen Harris’ fourth trip to Iowa since announcing her candidacy for president of the United States.

DES MOINES, IOWA (May 17, 2019) — The Iowa Supreme Court issued its decision today in Iowa State Education Association (ISEA) and Davenport Education Association (DEA) vs State of Iowa, Iowa Public Relations Board, Mike Cormack, Jamie Van Fossen and Mary Gannon. The Supreme Court decided 4-3 to uphold the legislative changes to Chapter 20.
