Bettendorf School Qualifies for Carrie Chapman Catt Award After Registering 90% of Eligible Students to Vote

DES MOINES, IOWA (May 27, 2020) — Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate has announced 18 schools have qualified for the Carrie Chapman Catt Award for the 2019-20 school year, including Rivermont Collegiate in Bettendorf. The award is given to schools that register at least 90 percent of their eligible students to vote.

Gov Kim Reynolds Signs New Proclamation Continuing the State Public Health Emergency Declaration

DES MOINES, IOWA (May 26, 2020) — Governor Kim Reynolds signed a new proclamation continuing the Public Health Disaster Emergency until June 25, 2020.

As previously announced, the proclamation permits bars, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and social and fraternal clubs may reopen on May 28 with the same public health measures as restaurants in place.
