IOWA CITY, IOWA (March 15, 2019) — Courage Ride, an annual charity bike-ride benefiting the University of Iowa’s sarcoma-cancer research, has announced it is moving this year’s start/finish venue from Iowa Mennonite School near Kalona to Big Grove Brewery and Taproom in Iowa City in an effort to attract more participants in the Corridor. The 2019 Courage Ride will be held August 17th and marks the 15th year for the event.

PEORIA, ILLINOIS (May 17, 2019) — A pitcher’s duel turned one-sided in a hurry on Friday night at Dozer Park where the Peoria Chiefs evened their series against the Quad Cities River Bandits with a convincing 8-0 victory. The game was scoreless entering the bottom of the sixth inning, but Peoria put up eight runs in the frame to take control.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (May 16, 2019) — The Quad Cities River Bandits, in conjunction with the Houston Astros, have announced the following changes to their roster on Thursday. Pitchers Jose Bravo and Jose Rivera have been transferred from extended spring-training to Quad Cities. Pitcher Nivaldo Rodriguez and infielder Enmanuel Valdez have been transferred from Quad Cities to Fayetteville (Advanced-A).

PEORIA, ILLINOIS (May 17, 2016) — The Quad Cities River Bandits enjoyed an offensive explosion with big nights from multiple players on their way to a 21-1 win over the Peoria Chiefs at Dozer Park on Thursday night. Marty Costes drove in seven runs and shortstop Jeremy Pena finished a single short of the cycle. The River Bandits hit four home-runs in the game in cruising to a series-opening win.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (May 15, 2019) — A solo home-run from Jared Akins in the bottom of the fourth inning propelled the Cedar Rapids Kernels to a 1-0 victory over the Quad Cities River Bandits in the series finale on Wednesday afternoon. The teams split the four game set 2-2. 

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (May 14, 2019) — The Quad Cities River Bandits received four hits and three runs batted in from outfielder Austin Dennis as they took down the Cedar Rapids Kernels by an 11-2 score on Tuesday night. The 11 runs were the most scored by the Bandits in a game this season. Quad Cities has won 13 of their last 15 contests.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (May 13, 2019) — The Quad Cities River Bandits had their nine-game winning-streak snapped by the Cedar Rapids Kernels on Monday night, suffering a 9-4 defeat in the first game of a double-header. However, the Bandits rebounded with a 7-0 win in the night cap to gain a split of the twin bill. 

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 12, 2019) — The Quad Cities River Bandits, in conjunction with the Houston Astros, have announced the following changes to their roster on Sunday. Pitcher Joey Gonzalez has been transferred from Fayetteville (Advanced-A) to Quad Cities. Pitcher Brett Conine has been transferred from Quad Cities to Fayetteville (Advanced-A). Outfielder Carlos Machado has been transferred from Quad Cities to extended spring training.

SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (May 8, 2019) — Due to unplayable conditions at Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport, Iowa, the regularly scheduled May 9-11 series between the Great Lakes Loons and Quad Cities River Bandits has been cancelled. Since the Clubs do not meet again in the first half of the Midwest League season the games will not be made up. Fans who hold tickets to those games should contact the River Bandits to determine how those tickets may be used for future games.
