DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 22, 2019) — The Quad Cities River Bandits, in conjunction with the Houston Astros, have announced the following changes to their roster on Wednesday. Pitcher Jayson Schroeder has been transferred from extended spring training to Quad Cities. Pitcher Jojanse Torres has been transferred from Quad Cities to Fayetteville (Advanced-A).

GENEVA, ILLINOIS (May 21, 2019) — Cesar Salazar went 3-3 with two runs batted in and the pitching staff worked out of multiple jams to propel the Quad Cities River Bandits to a 4-1 win over the Kane County Cougars on Tuesday afternoon. The victory was the fourth in a row for the River Bandits and assured the team of a winning record on their current 12-game road trip with two games remaining.

GENEVA, ILLINOIS (May 20, 2019) — The Quad Cities River Bandits scored five unearned runs in the top of the seventh inning to emerge with a 7-5 victory over the Kane Cougars at Northwestern Medicine Field on Monday night. Outfielder Marty Costes drove in five runs and gave the Bandits the lead with a bases-loaded triple in the seventh after three Kane County errors opened the door.

PEORIA, ILLINOIS (May 19, 2019) — The Quad Cities River Bandits did just enough to emerge with an 11-9 victory over the Peoria Chiefs in a wild back-and-forth affair at Dozer Park on Sunday afternoon. The River Bandits scored in six different innings with Peoria scoring in four different frames. The Bandits moved a season-high 13 games over .500 on the campaign.

PEORIA, ILLINOIS (May 18, 2019) — One big inning was the deciding-factor in the first two games of the Quad Cities River Bandits weekend-series against the Peoria Chiefs. That theme continued in the third game on Saturday night at Dozer Park. A six-run fourth-inning allowed the River Bandits to erase an early deficit and beat the Chiefs 6-2.

 

IOWA CITY, IOWA (March 15, 2019) — Courage Ride, an annual charity bike-ride benefiting the University of Iowa’s sarcoma-cancer research, has announced it is moving this year’s start/finish venue from Iowa Mennonite School near Kalona to Big Grove Brewery and Taproom in Iowa City in an effort to attract more participants in the Corridor. The 2019 Courage Ride will be held August 17th and marks the 15th year for the event.

PEORIA, ILLINOIS (May 17, 2019) — A pitcher’s duel turned one-sided in a hurry on Friday night at Dozer Park where the Peoria Chiefs evened their series against the Quad Cities River Bandits with a convincing 8-0 victory. The game was scoreless entering the bottom of the sixth inning, but Peoria put up eight runs in the frame to take control.

PEORIA, ILLINOIS (May 17, 2016) — The Quad Cities River Bandits enjoyed an offensive explosion with big nights from multiple players on their way to a 21-1 win over the Peoria Chiefs at Dozer Park on Thursday night. Marty Costes drove in seven runs and shortstop Jeremy Pena finished a single short of the cycle. The River Bandits hit four home-runs in the game in cruising to a series-opening win.
