MOUNT CARROLL – Timber Lake Playhouse, the professional summer theatre of Northwest Illinois, will present the final show of its summer subscription series, Little Shop of Horrors, Thursday, August 10th through Sunday, August 20th at the playhouse in Mount Carroll. Acclaimed Chicago director, Lili-Anne Brown (Hairspray, Cabaret, Sweet Charity), returns to direct the musical.

"Brighton Beach Memoirs" opens this Friday! Be sure to see Neil Simon's hilarious, heartfelt, coming-of-age story at Augustana's Brunner Theatre.

The cast will be hitting it out of the park Aug. 4-6 and 11-13, and you can, too. Wear or carry your favorite piece of baseball memorabilia (jersey, hat, autographed picture, etc.) on Aug. 4 or 11 and get in for just $10.

This second production by Augustana's new Mississippi Bend Players is a thriller. In fact, the film version of the play is ranked 10th on Bravo's "100 Scariest Movie Moments" (just behind "Night of the Living Dead"). But there are no zombies. (That was last week!)
