First local run of Peter and the Starcatcher opens June 2    

MOLINE, ILLINOIS – The Black Box Theatre in downtown Moline presents the Midwest premiere of “I Love You, Because,” a contemporary musical version of Jane Austin’s novel “Pride and Prejudice.” The production features lyrics by Ryan Cunningham, and music by Joshua Salzman.

MOUNT CARROLL – Timber Lake Playhouse opens its 56th Summer Season with Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins. The production is one of the largest and most ambitious in the history of the company. Featuring songs like “Supercali-fragilisticexpialidocious,” “Step In Time,” and “ Feed The Birds,” Mary Poppins will begin Thursday June 1 and run through Sunday June 11.

DAVENPORT, IA - Chicago-based artist to unearth stories of local race riots in a performance-based exhibit at the Figge.

ROCKFORD, IL (04/21/2017)-- Ben Greiner, of Davenport, has been named to the cast list for A Flea in Her Ear," a hysterical cocktail of chaos that could only have been devised by the master of comic stagecraft, Feydeau. This racuous bedroom farce runs April 27-30, 2017, and is directed by Rockford University Professor of Performing Arts Deborah Mogford.

APRIL 19, 2017 – Iowa City, Iowa – WITNESS a powerful production listening to the memoirs of a young Jewish girl this April as Iowa City Community Theatre presents a new translation by Wendy Kesselman of THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett and directed by Rachel Korach Howell, APRIL 21-30.

MOUNT CARROLL – Timber Lake Playhouse, the professional summer theatre of northwest Illinois, opens the 2017 season on May 5 with Pump Boys and Dinettes. The popular musical will play over two weekends for eight performances only. The musical continues to play to sold out houses around the country, 35 years after it’s Broadway premier.

The Clinton Area Showboat Theatre (CAST) will be holding a fundraiser at the Clinton Hy-Vee Market Grille from 4:00pm-10:00pm on Friday, April 21st. The Market Grille will donate 25 % of their sales during this time to CAST, with all bar tips being donated to the organization as well. Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the Showboat’s 2017 professional Summer productions, educational Intern Program, and summer camps for children.

Amana- Making God Laugh opens on April 20 and runs through May 14 on the Old Creamery’s Main Stage, with shows on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 2:00 pm and on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm.
