Patrick Hastie in the Whales & Beasts Comedy Tour -- September 28 at the Triple Crown Whiskey Bar & Raccoon Motel.

Thursday, September 28, 9 p.m.

Triple Crown Whiskey Bar & Raccoon Motel, 304 East Third Street, Davenport IA

A trio of professional standup comedians, all of them Iowa natives, bring their fall tour to Davenport in a Triple Crown Whiskey Bar & Raccoon Motel event showcasing the stylings of Davenport's Gideon Hambright, Glenwood's Patrick Hastie, and Marshalltown's James Doyle.

Based in New York, Hambright is the co-host and producer of Jackknife Comedy at Queens' The Creek & the Cave and Standard Time at Brooklyn's Pacific Standard. Hambright is also a veteran of the Charm City, Hudson Valley, and Cinder Block Comedy Festivals, and has performed standup on series and specials for Bravo and MTV.

A fellow Brooklyn resident who co-produces Jackknife Comedy alongside Hambright, Hastie can be heard weekly on the podcast The Noastalgic Front, and has been a featured guest on The Chive, College Humor, and The Interrobang. Hastie's nationwide appearances have also included sets at the Out of Bounds, Orlando Indie, and Memphis Comedy Festivals.

And teaming up with the New Yorkers is Chicago comedian Doyle, whose credits include co-producing the monthly, Des Moines-based shows Eat This and For Real, For Sure. Doyle's festival appearances include sets at the Beast Village and Cream City Comedy Festivals, and he was last in the area as part of May's Turnbuckle Comedy & Music Festival at Maquoketa's Codfish Hollow Barn.

Admission to the Whales & Beasts Comedy Tour's September 28 performance is free, and more information is available by visiting WhalesAndBeasts.com.
