DES MOINES, IOWA (January 21, 2021) — The number of initial unemployment claims in Iowa, filed between Sunday, January 10, and Saturday, January 16, was 6,785, a decrease of 581 from last week’s adjusted numbers.

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 21, 2021) — Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) has announced that it will reissue new 1099-G tax forms to all claimants on January 25, 2021. After recently mailing the 1099-G forms, IWD discovered the forms may not have included all of the benefits received by claimants in 2020. The form is used to report unemployment compensation, and state and federal taxes withheld.
