District Rep Brian Kramer to Hold Office Hours

WASHINGTON DC (March 5, 2019) — Representative Dave Loebsack will have a member of his staff in Clinton and Scott Counties for open office hours. Brian Kramer, Loebsack’s District Representative, will be at the following locations. Brian Kramer will be on hand to work with individuals who are having difficulty with a government agency, have suggestions for Dave, or would just like to share their concerns. The annual competition is hosted by the United States House of Representatives to recognize talented young artists from across the nation.

Rep Dave Loebsack Applauds $3 Million Investment in Amtrak’s Southwest Chief Route

WASHINGTON DC (February 28, 2019) — Representative Dave Loebsack today applauded the decision by Amtrak to award $3 million for safety and reliability upgrades to the Southwest Chief route. The Southwest Chief has daily routes from Illinois to California, which travels through southeast Iowa, including a stop in Ft Madison.

In a letter to House Leadership, the lawmakers called for swift action in the House to ensure our farmers and producers have the certainty they need to support the more than 60,000 good paying jobs here in the US that are part of the biodiesel industry.

Rep Dave Loebsack Supports Bill to Ensure Veterans Have Access to Child Care during VA Appointments

WASHINGTON DC (February 8, 2019) — Congressman Dave Loebsack released the following statement today after the House passed HR 840, The Veterans' Access to Child Care Act. This legislation will make permanent, and expand, the VA’s Child Care Pilot Program to ensure our veterans have access to convenient, safe and cost-free child care when they have VA medical appointments, including mental healthcare appointments. The pilot program was established in 2010 at four VA facilities.
