WASHINGTON DC (February 4, 2019) — Iowa Representative Dave Loebsack announced today that he has invited Jeff Chapman, the Battalion Chief of the Clinton Fire Department, to be his guest at the State of the Union address in Washington on Tuesday, February 5. Chapman, who was born and raised in Clinton, has served with its fire department since 1995. Each Member of Congress is allotted one ticket to invite a guest to the State of the Union speech.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Dave Loebsack announced today that a painting entitled “A Soldier’s Haunting” by Keokuk High School’s Kaylee Adams was selected to represent Iowa’s Second Congressional District in the 2018 Congressional Art Contest. The painting is from a photo that Kaylee's uncle took of himself while serving in Iraq. After returning home, he suffered from PTSD and took his own life. Kaylee made the painting for her father to honor her uncle.
