Washington, D.C. – Congressman Dave Loebsack today released the following statement after the Senate Committee on Commerce announced it will be taking action on the companion legislation to Loebsack’s Rural Wireless Access Act of 2017.

Washington, D.C.  – Congressman Dave Loebsack today announced that the City of DeWitt Fire Department will receive $133,629 in funding from the Department of Homeland Security’s Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) Program. The funding will be used to purchase breather packs and replacement parts for breather packs. Congressman Loebsack has been a longtime supporter of the AFG program.

Loebsack, a former member the House Armed Services Committee, helped author three provisions that were incorporated in this year’s legislation, including language to strengthen Arsenals, modernize Ammunition Plants and also boost STEM jobs within the Department of Defense (DOD).
