WASHINGTON DC (June 14, 2019) — Representative Dave Loebsack and Mike Kelly recently introduced legislation that would recognize certified genetic counselors (CGCs) as Medicare health-care providers. The “Access to Genetic Counselor Services Act of 2019,” HR3235, would allow Medicare beneficiaries access to genetic counselors, who provide specialized services in medical genetics and counseling.

WASHINGTON DC (June 12, 2019) — Representative Dave Loebsack today welcomed the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announcement that they will take steps to improve the collection of data regarding who across the country has access to high-speed broadband internet. Currently, the FCC maps only take into account where broadband could be offered, not where broadband is actually available.

WASHINGTON DC (June 5, 2019) — Representative Dave Loebsack announced today that the Clinton Municipal Airport will receive a $160,200 grant from the US Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant program. The funding will be used to reconstruct 250 feet of the existing taxiway pavement that has reached the end of its useful life.
