DES MOINES, IOWA (June 8, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds and the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced up to $1.5 million in grant funding to enhance health-care service delivery throughout Iowa by supporting Centers of Excellence with a focus on innovation and collaboration. The Centers of Excellence are innovative care models that specialize in specific areas of medicine, offer a variety of services and treatments, and create regional access to specialty care.

Gov Kim Reynolds Requests Federal Assistance for Davenport Building Collapse

DES MOINES, IOWA (June 7, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds has sent a letter to President Biden to request federal assistance for Scott County following the May 28 collapse of the Hotel Davenport Apartments in Davenport.

The request for an emergency declaration includes assistance for debris removal, demolition, reimbursement for response activities, and technical assistance.

The governor's proclamation activates the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program and the Disaster Case Management Program for residents impacted by the collapse.
