WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (March 16, 2020) — The Iowa Health Care Association (IHCA) represents most of the state's more than 790 long-term care-providers, including nursing homes, assisted living communities, and home health-care agencies, and has been working closely with its members and state health officials to monitor novel coronavirus (COVID-19) developments in Iowa.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (July 12, 2019) — Twenty Iowa students have been awarded the 2019 Iowa Health-Care Association (IHCA) Foundation scholarship. Scholarship winners will receive $1,500 to continue their health-care education at an accredited school of nursing, long-term care or health administration program, or physical/occupational therapy program.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (June 7, 2019) — Twenty Iowa long-term care professionals graduated from the Iowa Health Care Association (IHCA) Leadership Academy this week in West Des Moines.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (June 6, 2019) — This week Iowa ranked first in the nation for receiving the most awards for long-term care-quality in a nationwide awards competition. Forty-five Iowa long-term care-facilities were recognized by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) with the 2019 Bronze — Commitment to Quality Award, which encompassed 590 long-term and post-acute care providers in 48 states.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (May 24, 2019) — The Iowa Health Care Association (IHCA) Foundation is offering up to 20 $1,500 scholarships to individuals who are continuing their education in nursing, physical/occupational therapy (PT/OT), or health administration with the intent of working in long-term care.  Scholarship applications are due by May 31.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (March 12, 2018) - Four Iowa high school students received the 2018 Iowa Bankers Association's Student Athlete Achievement Award during the Iowa High School Boys State Basketball Tournament on March 9 in Des Moines.
