Forty-Four North High School Graduates Receive Diplomas — and Associate’s Degrees

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 9, 2021) — On June 6, 2021, 44 graduating students at Davenport North High School earned more than just diplomas. They also earned Associate’s Degrees in Liberal Arts. That’s because the school had partnered with Scott Community College to launch a dual-enrollment program, permitting students to take college-level classes.

The event will be held 2-6PM on Thursday, June 3, at the RiverCenter, 136 E 3rd St, Davenport, Iowa. Masks are recommended.

Davenport Schools’ Christa Andersen Wins Iowa Manager of the Year Award

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 25, 2021) — Christa Andersen, Food and Nutrition Services Manager for the Davenport Community School District, has received the Iowa Manager of the Year Award from the Iowa School Nutrition Association. The honor was announced at a Davenport Community School District board meeting on May 24.

Credit Union and QC Brewer Relaunch RIA IPA Beer to Help Veterans

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 20, 2021) — Working with local beer brewer Twin Span Brewing, the RIA Federal Credit Union is relaunching its special label RIA beer. The beer is called the RIA IPA and it is an India Pale Ale. A donation of $2 from every can/pint will help to fund the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities (HFQC).

Davenport Schools Students To Receive COVID-19 Vaccinations

DAVENPORT, IOWA (April 28, 2021) — HyVee and Davenport Community School District have partnered to offer Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations to DCSD students aged 16 years and older, with parental consent. Adult family members of DCSD students can also request and receive vaccinations.
