DES MOINES, IOWA (September 6, 2024) — Governor Kim Reynolds and the Iowa Department of Education today announced that eleven charter schools will receive a total of nearly $4 million in grant-funding through the Iowa Charter Start-Up and Expansion Grant program. The grants will support new charter schools as they prepare for future operation as well as existing high-performing charter schools to improve or expand their classroom and course offerings.

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 29, 2024) — Governor Kim Reynolds has announced the opening of a temporary school facility for students in the Rock Valley Community School District (RVCSD).

The 7,000-square-foot modular school, built by Hegg Construction, will house 150 middle-school RVCSD students in six classrooms, bathrooms, offices, and a common area. The facility is fitted with wireless Internet and smart boards.

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 26, 2024) — Governor Kim Reynolds has announced Ryan Mulhall will serve as Executive Director of the Iowa Communications Network. Mulhall begins his new role with ICN on Friday, August 30, 2024.
