DES MOINES, IOWA (April 2, 2019) — Governor Kim Reynolds issued a disaster proclamation today in response to flooding and flash flooding beginning March 13 and continuing.

The governor's proclamation allows state resources to be utilized to respond to and recover from the effects of this severe weather and activates the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program for qualifying residents, along with the Disaster Case Management Program, for Wapello County.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 2, 2019) — Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts, and Missouri Governor Mike Parson will meet with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to get an updated assessment of flood-damage, a look ahead on the Missouri River outflow, and identify regional-solutions for flooding and levee repairs. Following the meeting, there will be a press conference open to credentialed members of the media.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 1, 2019) — Governor Kim Reynolds and Lieutenant Governor Adam Gregg announced the start of the fifth-annual Give Back Iowa Challenge on Monday. The challenge is issued to employers and runs from April 1-May 31, 2019, to engage Iowans in employer-supported volunteering.

DES MOINES– Today, Governor Kim Kim Reynolds announced her appointments of Gina Badding and Amy Moore as district court judges in Judicial Election District 2B.   Badding, of Carroll, Iowa, received her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Iowa. She currently practices law with Neu, Minnich, Comito, Halbur, Neu, and Badding PC in Carroll.

DES MOINES – Major General Timothy E Orr, Adjutant General of the Iowa National Guard, recently announced his retirement beginning on May 1, 2019. He has served as Adjutant General of the Iowa National Guard since January 2009.
