A filmed-live version of the hit stage piece that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and a Tony Award nominee for Best Play, director Marielle Heller's What the Constitution Means to Me enjoys a special, free screening at Davenport's Metropolitan Community Church of the Quad Cities on August 26. This Women’s Equality Day event finding writer/star Heidi Schreck both humorously and seriously challenging how Americans understand their rights in the U.S. Constitution, and arguing that the document actually does little to guarantee the rights of women and minority groups.

With their 2024 album Overthinking Everything lauded by Paste magazine as "a thrill-seeking debut and "a heart-pounding riptide," the Chicago-based musicians of Footballhead headline an August 24 concert at Davenport's Raccoon Motel, their first LP also praised by The Indy Review as "a fantastic collection of tracks that artfully blend genres and sounds, satisfying the elusive alt-rock itch that can be hard to scratch in today's landscape."

Touring in support of his 2024 debut Tales of Misfortune, a recording that Saving Country Music praised for its "sneaky proficiency that doesn’t get in the way of the realness of the songs," 21-year-old country musician Colby T. Helms and his band the Virginia Creepers headline an August 28 concert at Davenport's Raccoon Motel, the young artist's first album also hailed by No Depression as "well-written, with memorable melodies and vivid lyrical imagery."

On August 28, the 2022 winner of Graceland’s Ultimate Elvis Competition will bring his stunning impersonation skills to the Circa '21 Dinner Playhouse when the Rock Island venue hosts two performances of The King in Concert, with the critically lauded stage sensation Victor Trevino Jr. taking audiences on a thrilling trip through the decades and some of the most beloved rock, soul, and gospel tunes of all time.
