A longtime Saturday Night Live veteran and one of the country's most popular comedians brings his national tour to Davenport's Capitol Theatre on August 11 when the venue hosts an evening with Pete Davidson, the 30-year-old multi-hyphenate talent whose credits beyond SNL range from the feature films Fast X and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to the comedy specials Alive from New York and this year's Turbo Fonzarelli.

Lauded by the New York Times as a comedian who "has done for peanut butter what Jerry Seinfeld did for Pop-Tarts and Jim Gaffigan did for Hot Pockets," nationally renowned standup Greg Warren kicks off this year's Alternating Currents festival with a headlining set at Davenport Capitol Theatre, his August 15 performance treating audiences to a night with the Bob & Tom Show favorite frequently heard on podcasts including Nateland, Never Not Funny, Bertcast, Dumb People Town, and The Adam Carolla Show.

Lauded by Country Swag as an artist who “knows how to perfectly mix fun with heart,” platinum-selling country-music star Scotty McCreery, on August 4, serves as the final grandstand headliner for the 2024 Mississippi Valley Fair, the 30-year-old singer/songwriter behind thee chart-topping albums also the ultimate victor during the tenth season of American Idol.

Delivering the most successful Shania Twain tribute act in Canada and throughout the United States and Europe, country-music chanteuse Donna Huber brings her touring performance as Shania Twin to Davenport's Rhythm City Casino Resort Rhythm Room on August 3, with Twain herself reportedly commenting that after seeing a poster of Huber in character, "I thought that was me! Donna is the best Shania Twain tribute out there."

Touring in support of their June release Walk Thru Me, the musicians' first full-length album in more than 20 years, Lou Barlow and John Davis bring their alternative-rock outfit The Folk Implosion to Davenport's Raccoon Motel on August 8, the pair's latest recording inspiring PopMatters to rave that "Barlow and Davis exhibit new strengths and approaches that depart from their cavalier youth."

His alternative-rock and power-pop outfit renowned for their 2000 single "Teenage Dirtbag" and their self-titled album that was certified platinum in the United Kingdom, Wheatus founder Brendan B. Brown performs a special solo set at Davenport's Raccoon Motel on August 7, his other albums with the group including 2003's Hand Over Your Loved Ones, 2005's Too Soon Monsoon, and 2013's The Valentine LP.
