DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 13, 2019) — University of Dubuque Heritage Center will have Thanksgiving hours and specials.

Farber Box Office, 2255 Bennett Street, will be closed Wednesday, November 27, through Sunday, December 1. Normal hours resume Monday, December 2, 10AM-5PM, and 90 minutes prior to ticketed events.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 7, 2019) — University of Dubuque has once again been nationally recognized for its dedication to providing quality educational opportunities to veterans and military-connected students.

For the third straight year, Military Times named UD to its Best for Vets: Colleges rankings. UD was the highest-ranked Iowa institution, placing 19th on a list of 134 four-year universities.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 5, 2019) — The Spartan Nation Liberation Foundation will host a free screening of Gridshock, a documentary film about sex trafficking in Iowa, at Monday, 6PM, November 11, in Room 100 of the Jackaline Baldwin Dunlap Technology Center on the University of Dubuque campus.

The screening is open to the public.

 

DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 4, 2019) — University of Dubuque Heritage Center continues its 2019-2020 Live at Heritage Center Family Series with child-friendly edition of A Christmas Carol, performed by Virginia Repertory Theatre, at 2PM, Sunday, December 8, in John and Alice Butler Hall.

 

DUBUQUE, IOWA (October 30, 2019) — University of Dubuque will present its seventh annual Christmas at Heritage Center at 7:30PM Friday, December 6, in John and Alice Butler Hall. Elisabeth von Trapp, granddaughter of the legendary Maria and Baron von Trapp, whose story inspired The Sound of Music, will headline this year’s celebration.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (October 28, 2019) — University of Dubuque will participate in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s first National Drone Safety Awareness Week, 2-4PM, Thursday, November 7, and Friday, November 8, at the Ed Babka Aviation Learning Center, 10656 Airport Road, to educate the public about drone regulations and showcase how drones are used in the community.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (October 22, 2019) — From the creators of Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea comes a new theatrical adaptation of the classic works of Rudyard Kipling reimagined through modern eyes. Jungle Book will transport audience members from the urban jungle to relive Mowgli’s childhood in the jungles of India through immersive sound, eye-popping video, shadow-play, and original music.

 

DUBUQUE, IOWA (October 11, 2019) — University of Dubuque Heritage Center continues its seventh annual Live at Heritage Center Performing Arts Series with Hiplet Ballerinas at 7:30PM, Friday, November 15, in John and Alice Butler Hall.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (October 7, 2019) — The University of Dubuque’s Department of Fine and Performing Arts will present The Comedy of Errors at 6PM, Friday-Saturday, November 8-9, and 2PM, Sunday, November 10, in Babka Theatre, Heritage Center. The production will be directed by Greg Wolf, director of theater.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (October 4, 2019) — The University of Dubuque Wind and Jazz ensembles will present their joint fall concert, “Wanderlust: The Desire to Travel,” at 3PM, Saturday, November 2, in Heritage Center’s John and Alice Butler Hall.

The concert will be under the direction of Cassandra Bechard, wind ensemble conductor, and Nolan Hauta, jazz-ensemble conductor. Be prepared to take a journey with the ensembles as they explore numerous cultures, time-periods, and styles of music.
