DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 21, 2019) — University of Dubuque Heritage Center has been selected to receive funding from Arts Midwest Touring Fund, a program of Arts Midwest, generously supported by the National Endowment for the Arts with additional contributions from the Iowa Arts Council and the Crane Group.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 20, 2019) — University of Dubuque will hold an Advent Worship Service and Tree Lighting at 4PM, Wednesday, December 4, in Blades Chapel and on the Quad.

Open to the public, the event will begin with an Advent Worship Service in Blades Chapel. The service will feature the preaching of Mark Ward, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty, as well as the musical talent of several students including the UD Chamber Singers.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 15, 2019) — The Archway Reading and Lecture Series at University of Dubuque will host a reading by poet Austin Smith at 7PM tonight in the Couchman Reading Room of the Charles C Myers Library on campus. He will replace Abby Geni.

The reading is free and open to the public. It will include a brief question-and-answer session and book-signing opportunity with the author.

 

DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 14, 2019) — University of Dubuque’s Bisignano Art Gallery will host a reception for its latest show, “Iowa Visions,” 6-7:30PM, Saturday, November 23, in the art gallery, Heritage Center, 2255 Bennett St. The reception is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 14, 2019) — A University of Dubuque mediation team placed sixth in the Team Mediation Category at the 20th annual International Intercollegiate Mediation Tournament held November 1-3 at The Osgoode School of Law at York University in Toronto, Canada.

Farber Box Office, 2255 Bennett Street, will be closed Wednesday, November 27, through Sunday, December 1. Normal hours resume Monday, December 2, 10AM-5PM, and 90 minutes prior to ticketed events.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 7, 2019) — University of Dubuque has once again been nationally recognized for its dedication to providing quality educational opportunities to veterans and military-connected students.

For the third straight year, Military Times named UD to its Best for Vets: Colleges rankings. UD was the highest-ranked Iowa institution, placing 19th on a list of 134 four-year universities.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 5, 2019) — The Spartan Nation Liberation Foundation will host a free screening of Gridshock, a documentary film about sex trafficking in Iowa, at Monday, 6PM, November 11, in Room 100 of the Jackaline Baldwin Dunlap Technology Center on the University of Dubuque campus.

The screening is open to the public.

 

DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 4, 2019) — University of Dubuque Heritage Center continues its 2019-2020 Live at Heritage Center Family Series with child-friendly edition of A Christmas Carol, performed by Virginia Repertory Theatre, at 2PM, Sunday, December 8, in John and Alice Butler Hall.

 

DUBUQUE, IOWA (October 30, 2019) — University of Dubuque will present its seventh annual Christmas at Heritage Center at 7:30PM Friday, December 6, in John and Alice Butler Hall. Elisabeth von Trapp, granddaughter of the legendary Maria and Baron von Trapp, whose story inspired The Sound of Music, will headline this year’s celebration.
