DUBUQUE, IOWA (December 20, 2019) — University of Dubuque Heritage Center continues its seventh annual Live at Heritage Center Performing Arts Series with Tom Cotter at 7:30PM, Friday, January 31, in John and Alice Butler Hall.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (December 18, 2019) — University of Dubuque’s Department of Fine and Performing Arts will welcome 100 high school musicians from nearly 30 area schools to campus on Thursday, January 16, for the University of Dubuque Honor Band Concert. Students will begin the day with rehearsals at 8:30AM and conclude with a concert at 7PM in John and Alice Butler Hall, Heritage Center.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (December 5, 2019) — University of Dubuque was recently awarded a $9,535 grant from the Dubuque Racing Association to purchase a microplate reader to enhance the teaching and research capabilities of UD’s cellular and molecular biology laboratory facilities.

 

DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 21, 2019) — University of Dubuque Heritage Center has been selected to receive funding from Arts Midwest Touring Fund, a program of Arts Midwest, generously supported by the National Endowment for the Arts with additional contributions from the Iowa Arts Council and the Crane Group.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 20, 2019) — University of Dubuque will hold an Advent Worship Service and Tree Lighting at 4PM, Wednesday, December 4, in Blades Chapel and on the Quad.

Open to the public, the event will begin with an Advent Worship Service in Blades Chapel. The service will feature the preaching of Mark Ward, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty, as well as the musical talent of several students including the UD Chamber Singers.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 15, 2019) — The Archway Reading and Lecture Series at University of Dubuque will host a reading by poet Austin Smith at 7PM tonight in the Couchman Reading Room of the Charles C Myers Library on campus. He will replace Abby Geni.

The reading is free and open to the public. It will include a brief question-and-answer session and book-signing opportunity with the author.

 

DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 14, 2019) — University of Dubuque’s Bisignano Art Gallery will host a reception for its latest show, “Iowa Visions,” 6-7:30PM, Saturday, November 23, in the art gallery, Heritage Center, 2255 Bennett St. The reception is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
