In honor of Iowan Carrie Chapman Catt's life and the ratification of the 19th amendment, Iowa PBS presents Carrie Chapman Catt: Warrior for Women.

IOWA FALLS, IOWA (March 23, 2020) — The Iowa PBS and Iowa Public Radio families sadly note the passing of Dean Borg, longtime Iowa Public Radio political correspondent and former host of Iowa PBS's Iowa Press. Borg died yesterday afternoon at the age of 81 due to complications caused by pancreatic cancer. Borg's career in journalism spanned more than five decades, earning him multiple awards and a place of honor in Iowa's journalistic history.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (March 16, 2020) — For 100 years, Iowans have enjoyed and explored their state's natural beauty through the state parks system. To commemorate this milestone, Iowa Outdoors, Iowa PBS's series centered on outdoor recreation and Iowa's natural resources, will feature three new episodes honoring the history and beauty of Iowa's state parks. The 30-minute episodes will air weekly on Wednesdays at 6:30PM in April, premiering on statewide Iowa PBS beginning April 1.

Airing Friday, March 20 at 8:30PM, the broadcast features performances from the competition's four senior division finalists — John Flannery, Washington; Ashley Xu, Ames; Joya Schreurs, Sheldon; and Tylar Meister, Mitchellville. It also includes performances from the two junior division finalists — Ian Lewis, Cedar Falls, and Ana Yam, Ames.
