An annually beloved holiday-music tradition returns to the area as the professional vocal ensemble the Nova Singers presents its latest pair of A Nova Christmas concerts, with exciting and moving arrangements of favorite carols, traditional melodies, glorious ballads, and fascinating songs from around the world performed on December 13 at Davenport's St. Paul Lutheran Church and December 14 at Galesburg's First Lutheran Church.

Four-time GMA Dove Award nominees who won the trophy for New Artist of the Year in 2010, the Nashville-based contemporary-Christian ensemble Sidewalk Prophets bring their sixth-annual “Great Big Family Christmas” to Galesburg's Orpheum Theatre on December 15, with frontman David Frey saying, "This year is going to be our fullest Christmas tour schedule yet, and we can’t wait to get out there and make new memories with fans across the country.”

Capturing the simple soul of the artist's music through guitar, fiddle, and upright bass arrangements, tribute artist Layne Yost's John Denver Christmas celebrates the holiday season at the University of Dubuque's Heritage Center on December 13, with Yost, Carol McDowall, and Jon Shimoda providing stories woven within the music that give insight into Denver's remarkable life and legacy.

Touring in support of their most recent album The Fear of Standing Still – a recording that No Depression said "feels like it stands on the mountain of the last 20 years and surveys the field"– the alt-country and Americana musicians of American Aquarium headline a December 10 concert at Davenport's Raccoon Motel, their latest inspiring Saving Country Music to rave of the band, "No matter who you are or where you come from, they take you somewhere you want to go."

Employing their Grammy-nominated hard-rock stylings as headliners of the annual I-Rock 93.5 Not So Silent Night event, the chart-topping talents of Daughtry play Moline venue The Rust Belt on December 7, the group's self-titled 2007 release that year's top-selling album, as well as the fastest-selling rock debut album in Soundscan history, and the recipient of four American Music Awards and six Billboard Music Awards.
