Their 2020 recording The Preserving Machine lauded by MXDWN.com as “an incredible record,” and the band itself described as “the scene’s best-kept secret,” the alternative rockers of Ultimate Fakebook headline an August 17 concert at Davenport's Raccoon Motel, Dig Me Out adding that on the group's first collection of new songs since 2003, “There is no hint of rust or slowing down as the band expertly navigates 37 minutes of Cheap Trick-influenced power pop.”

Lauded by Rolling Stone as an artist whose “high guileless voice comes in swirls and artful smears,” New York-based folk singer/songwriter Paul Spring headlines an August 20 concert at Davenport's Raccoon Motel, the gifted musician also praised by the Irish Times for his “richly realized songs with deft lyrics and considered sensibility.”

His 2023 recording Capricorn praised by Americana Highways as “something authentic, and genuine, in the spirit of an exciting era,” blues rocker Eddie 9V serves as headliner for an August 21 concert at Davenport's Raccoon Motel, the artist also hailed by Blues Rock Review as “a rising star in the modern blues rock scene, and by Blues Blast Magazine as “one of the most distinctive voices in the world of soul-blues.”

Hailed by AllMusic's Fred Thomas as a group that “has yielded some of the most staggering and genre-defining sounds of noise and sound art's dense, largely obscured history,” Wolf Eyes headlines an August 22 concert event at Davenport's Raccoon Motel, the improvisational group's remarkable discography boasting 27 titles … in 2001 alone.

A high-energy ensemble boasting some of the sharpest musical talents the area has to offer, 10 of Soul headlines an August 16 SkyBridge Courtyard concert in Common Chord's popular “Live at Five” series, their Davenport set sure to boast classic tunes from the genres of soul, funk, and blues, as well as a few funky arrangements of their own.

Praised by Marquee magazine for their “dynamic presence” and for “continuously pushing the genre of bluegrass and their legacy within the genre,” the gifted musicians of Yonder Mountain String Band headline an August 21 concert at Maquoketa's Codfish Hollow Barn, the musicians' most recent album, 2022's Get Yourself Outside, hailed by Glide magazine as “an antidote for feeling down. These 11 songs just make you feel good, like putting on your favorite sweater to ward off the cold.”

Offering a stage salute to beloved recording artists including Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, and more than a dozen other icons, the popular vocal duo Gordy & Debby bring The Country Legends Show to Maquoketa's Ohnward Fine Arts Center on August 17, the married touring artists currently celebrating nearly 20 years as beloved Branson entertainers.

Appearing together in the Vibrant Arena at the MARK's eagerly awaited Summer Jam '24 event, a trio of supremely gifted hip-hip acts will combine their talent in Moline on August 10, with the amphitheater housing the Grammy-winning musicians of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Billboard sensation Xzibit, and Georgia's Yung Loc, featured on T-Pain's chart-topping "Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin')."
