WAVERLY, IA (07/07/2017)-- Wartburg College awarded diplomas to 270 students during Spring Commencement Sunday, May 28.

Those receiving diplomas include:

Courtney Belk, of Bettendorf, who graduated with a BA in American History Education and World History Education. She is the daughter of Kenneth & Janel Belk.

Michael Brown, of Bettendorf, who graduated with a BA in Engineering Science. He is the son of Daniel & Ann Brown.

Eric Huber, of Eldridge, who graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Biology. He is the son of Barry J. & Lisa A. Huber.

Michael Knouse, of Davenport, who graduated with a BA in Biochemistry. He is the son of Steven S. & Donna Knouse.

Macy Kosar, of Waterloo, who graduated with a BA in Engineering Science. She is the daughter of Eduardo & Carolyn Kosar.

Emily Kremer, of DeWitt, who graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Business Administration. She is the daughter of Roger & Marilyn Kremer.

Austin Lechtenberg, of DeWitt, who graduated with a BA in Sociology and Psychology. He is the son of Kurt & Laurie Lechtenberg.

Bryan Levsen, of Bettendorf, who graduated with a BA in Biology. He is the son of Mark J. & Catherine A. Levsen.

Markel Mommsen, of Bettendorf, who graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Biology. She is the daughter of Michael L. & Vicky M. Mommsen.

Eric Puls, of Fort Dodge, who graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Engineering Science. He is the son of Randall E. & Laurel A. Puls.

Taylor Robbins, of Bettendorf, who graduated with a BA in Fitness Management. He is the son of Scott & Michelle Robbins.

Jacob Thumann, of De Witt, who graduated with a BA in Environmental Science & Studies. He is the son of Marc & Kelly Thumann.

Twenty-five members of the Class of 2017 graduated in December.

Wartburg, a four-year liberal arts college internationally recognized for community engagement, enrolls 1,482 students. Wartburg is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and named after the castle in Germany where Martin Luther took refuge disguised as a knight during the stormy days of the Reformation while translating the Bible from Greek into German.
