BETTENDORF, IOWA (September 30, 2025) — Bettendorf School District will host a Scholarship Night on Monday, October 7, at Bettendorf High School, welcoming students in grades eight through twelve and their families from across the Quad Cities community.

This free event will feature Jeannie Burlowski, a nationally-recognized speaker and author who has helped thousands of families prepare to afford higher education and equip their children for career success. Burlowski’s presentation will guide students and parents in developing a powerful scholarship application strategy, including how to:

● Create a single scholarship application that can be easily customized for multiple opportunities.

● Motivate students to actively pursue scholarships.

● Strengthen applications to stand out as competitive candidates.

“Families often feel overwhelmed by the cost of college,” said Haleigh Hoyt, BCSD Career Readiness Coordinator. “Jeannie Burlowski offers practical, hopeful tools that make the scholarship process less intimidating and more achievable for students. We want to get that message out to the entire Quad City Area.”

Members of the press are encouraged to connect with us prior to the event. By working together, we hope to share this opportunity widely so that as many Quad Cities families as possible can benefit from the information and strategies Burlowski provides. More information about Jeannie Burlowski can be found at jeannieburlowski.com/.
