BETTENDORF, IOWA (February 10, 2026) Bettendorf Community School District is inviting families of incoming kindergarten students to attend Kindergarten Sneak Peek, a special event designed to help children and parents feel confident and excited about the start of school.

Kindergarten Sneak Peek will take place on Wednesday, February 11, 5:30-6:30PM, at Grant Wood and Mark Twain Elementary Schools. During the event, children will have the opportunity to explore one of our schools, meet teachers and staff, and participate in fun, age-appropriate activities. Parents will learn more about daily routines, kindergarten readiness, and how the district supports students during this important transition.

“Starting kindergarten is a big milestone for both students and families,” said Dr Michelle Morse, superintendent.

“Kindergarten Sneak Peek gives families a welcoming first look at our schools while helping students feel comfortable, excited, and ready for their first day.”

The event also provides families the opportunity to:

  • Tour classrooms and school spaces;
  • Learn about transportation, meals, and daily schedules;
  • Ask questions and connect with school staff; and
  • Receive important information for the upcoming school year.

Kindergarten Sneak Peek is open to families who plan to register a child for kindergarten in the 2026-27 school year.
