PELLA, IOWA (May 22, 2023) — Central College hosted a weeklong Celebration of Undergraduate Research and Creative Inquiry event to showcase the many projects by Central students during the 2022-2023 academic year.

Jacob Brainerd, De Witt, Iowa, Class of 2023, presented “Little Sports Awareness.”

Layken Bytnar, Bettendorf, Iowa, Class of 2024, presented “Using Genetic Barcoding to Assess Native Bee Diversity.”

Peyton Bytnar, Bettendorf, Iowa, Class of 2024, presented “Creating Integrative Digestive and Reproductive System Labs.”

Andrew Doyle, Bettendorf, Iowa, Class of 2024, presented “Spirit Shoppe Instagram Evaluation.”

Caleb Evans, Davenport, Iowa, Class of 2023, presented “Internship: Hopkins Roofing.”

Garrett Finley, De Witt, Iowa, Class of 2023, presented “Do We Do It?: Influence of Drugs and Alcohol in Rap and Hip Hop Music, in the Youth.”

Mattie Francis, Port Byron, Illinois, Class of 2023, presented “Service-Learning Module in English: Dental Connections.”

Luke Henkhaus, Geneseo, Illinois, Class of 2024, presented “The Relationship Between Government Trust, Political Ideology, and Conspiracy Theory Belief.”

Elizabeth Hurlbut, Muscatine, Iowa, Class of 2023, presented “Jump Landing Kinetics and Kinematics in College Dance and Cheer Athletes.”

Allison Miller, Geneseo, Illinois, Class of 2023, presented “Internship: Blush, and Simple Treasures.”

Kade Tippet, Eldridge, Iowa, Class of 2025, presented “Upcycled Props.”

Lauren Wall, Donahue, Iowa, Class of 2024, presented “Native Bee Diversity of Big Rock Park.”

Caleb Evans, Davenport, Iowa, Class of 2023, presented “Internship: Hopkins Roofing.”
