Rock Island, IL – Summer can be a harsh time in the Quad Cities for many in our community. As the temperature and heat indexes rise, many members of our community struggle to stay cool. Christian Care is dedicated to helping those who are less fortunate by opening its doors as an Emergency Cooling Center when temperatures are 90 degrees and above. Those needing assistance are welcome between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. seven days a week. The cooling center is located at Christian Care, 2209 3rd Avenue, Rock Island, IL.
Christian Care provides safe shelter, food, clothing, personal hygiene items, counseling and community referrals to our residents, as well as to other individuals in need.
