ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (June 6, 2019) — Summer can be a harsh time in the Quad Cities for many in our community. As the temperature and heat-indices rise, many members of our community struggle to stay cool. Christian Care is dedicated to helping those who are less-fortunate by opening its doors as an Emergency Cooling Center when temperatures are 90 degrees and above (including heat index). Those needing assistance are welcome between the hours of 8AM-7PM, seven days a week. The cooling center is located at Christian Care, 2209 3rd Avenue, Rock Island, Illinois.

Christian Care provides safe shelter, food, clothing, personal-hygiene items, counseling, and community-referrals to our residents, as well as to other individuals in need. Christian Care’s services are available 24 hours a day. If you know of someone in need, call our Crisis Hotline at 309-788-2273.
