DAVENPORT, IOWA (October 5, 2026) — The City of Davenport accepted Tim Gleason’s resignation to pursue other professional opportunities.

The City appreciates Mr. Gleason’s work for the citizens of Davenport over the term of his service.

Nicole Gleason will fill the role of Acting City Administrator while City Council discusses next steps.

Nicole has served as the Assistant City Administrator/Public Works Director since 2018.

The city’s daily operations, emergency services, and ongoing projects will continue without interruption.

In accordance with the terms of his Employment Agreement, the parties agreed to a payment of $41,436.

In addition, he will receive payment of accrued vacation per Iowa Law and the terms of his Agreement of approximately $33,500.
