JOHNSTON, IOWA (February 24, 2021) — Join Iowa PBS and Ballet Des Moines virtually on March 18, 7PM, for a triple-bill watch-party and behind-the-curtain conversation featuring special guests from the three performances in Acts of Resilience | Spirit. Experience the vibrancy and resilience of the human spirit while interacting live in the comments with other fans.

During the virtual event, viewers will enjoy the ballet In Formation followed by a live conversation with the choreographer Ma Cong, associate artistic director for Richmond Ballet. Next, the performance of Padam Padam will be followed by a live interview with Serkan Usta, artistic director with Ballet Des Moines. The event will close with pieces from beloved ballets including Sleeping Beauty and Le Corsaire, highlighting the strength and beauty of classical dance.

“It's a privilege to offer such intimate access to our friend and collaborator Ma Cong,” said Blaire Massa, Ballet Des Moines' Executive Director. “An insightful and inspiring conversation with such a renowned choreographer and our Artistic Director, Serkan Usta, is the perfect finale for our ground-breaking Acts of Resilience season.”
