NEW EXHIBIT: "Culinary Customs: A Taste of Germany" Opens Sunday

Our newest exhibit, "Culinary Customs: A Taste of Germany" opens Sunday, January 21. Watch for many wonderful culinary arts related programming over the next several months!
 
German Influence on American Craft Spirit Production, Sunday, January 21 @ 2pm
As Mississippi River Distilling Company in LeClaire, Iowa celebrates their 7th anniversary, comes visit the GAHC to explore spirits that have been influenced by hundreds of years of German distilling tradition. Hear from distiller Ryan Burchett about the company's German equipment, training trips to Germany, and how German traditions continually influence products made at the Mississippi River Distilling Company and throughout the USA.
 
Rote Grutze Demonstration, Saturday, January 27 @ 2pm. Join Rock Island High School German Teacher Nick Eli as he shows us how to make this delicious berry treat! Loved by his students, now this is sure to become a favorite of our members!
