Davenport, Iowa/April 6, 2017 — Quad Cities Food Hub will host Vendor Speed Dating, a local food producer meet and greet event. The event will take place at the Quad Cities Food Hub on Thursday April 13, 2017 at 7:00 PM. The event is an opportunity for local food producers, community members, and restaurants to come together and learn about local foods available in the Quad Cities. The Quad Cities Food Hub will also present information on their new online local foods marketplace, the Virtual Market.

The Quad cities Food Hub Virtual Market program has been in the research stage for the last two years, and is set to be released by the end of April. The Virtual Market allows local producers to load available produce onto an online marketplace where consumers and restaurants can browse and place orders. Order can be picked up later in the week at the Quad Cities Food Hub, with the potential for additional pick up locations throughout the Quad Cities to be added in the future.
