DAVENPORT, IOWA (November 6, 2019) — Festival of Trees is in its 34th year as the annual fundraiser for Quad City Arts and as the unofficial kick-off to the holiday season. Over 30,000 people experience this 10-day event each year and an additional 45,000 watch the Holiday Parade, making this event one of the largest attractions in the Quad Cities.

Returning to the River Center, November 23-December 1, this year’s Festival will have a multicultural flair, as it celebrates the theme of “Christmas Around the World”. Flags from different countries will adorn the Great Hall, along with life-size cut-outs of children from around the world stationed throughout the event. Kids can pick up a passport at the gate to help them find each figure and learn about each country’s unique holiday traditions!

This fun-filled event for all ages, will continue to feature all the familiar attractions and events that many have come to know and love, including over 150 designer displays, Festival Express Train, Reindeer Games Children’s Activity Center, Gingerbread Village, Treat Shoppe, Tinsel Treasures Gift Shop, High School Art Exhibit, CenterStage performances, and, of course, your chance to visit with Santa!

All designer displays are available for purchase via silent-auction bidding, raffle, or “buy it now” price to raise money for Quad City Arts, a local non-profit arts organization dedicated to enriching the quality-of-life in our community through the arts.

Special Events include: Silent Disco Sneak Peek, Grand Premiere Party, Teddy Bear Tea, SugarPlum Ball and Celebrity Lunch. For more information or to purchase tickets visit: www.qcfestivaloftrees.com

The 28th Annual Holiday Parade will take place in downtown Davenport, Saturday, November 23, at 10AM. Broadcast live by KWQC-TV6, this event features giant helium character balloons, pageant queens, dance groups, floats, marching bands, and, of course, your chance to see Santa making his way down the parade route! The procession will begin at 3rd Street and Pershing Ave, going west to Scott Street, then turning left to make its way back east on 2nd Street, finishing at 2nd Street and Iowa Ave. Co-title sponsors of the holiday parade are: Arconic, KWQC-TV 6, John Deere, and Regional Development Authority.

Thousands of volunteers, designers, CenterStage entertainers, sponsors, and friends of Festival make this event possible each year. We hope you will join us for this time-honored holiday celebration and that this event has or will become a tradition for your family for generations to come.
