WASHINGTON DC (March 15, 2019) — Representative Dave Loebsack announced today that he will be joining with senior leadership from the United States Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Services (USDA FSIS) to host a round-table in Muscatine on Monday, March 18. The roundtable will give small, FSIS regulated plant operators an opportunity to share their concerns and issues directly with USDA FSIS. At the roundtable, Rep Loebsack will be joined by USDA Deputy Under Secretary Mindy Brashears, FSIS Administrator Carmen Rottenberg, and FSIS Deputy Administrator Paul Kiecker, along with owners of small meat, poultry, and egg-processing plants. Media are invited attend.
