Washington, D.C. – Congressman Dave Loebsack announced today that he and Congressman Eric Swalwell (CA-15), Chair of the Future Forum, will hold an event at the Freight House on THURSDAY, February 23rd. During the event, Loebsack and Swalwell will listen to and engage with millennials from Quad Cities area. They will focus on the challenges faced by many young people, such as rising student debt, the decline of entrepreneurship and homeownership, workforce development, and policy opportunities that will help the next generation, and the nation as a whole, succeed.

Swalwell, who represents the East Bay, is in Iowa as Chair of the Future Forum, a group of 26 young, Democratic Members of Congress. The Future Forum is focused on bridging the gap between Congress and young Americans by discussing issues of importance to millennials. Swalwell is leading the group on a national listening tour to listen and engage with millennials at universities, community colleges, companies, and start-up incubators.

Media are invited to attend. Members will be made available for interviews following the event.
