DAVENPORT, IOWA (December 29, 2025) — River Action invites families, educators, and young naturalists to stop by its interactive booth during Bald Eagle Days 2026, taking place Friday, January 9, through Sunday, January 11. The River Action booth will feature engaging, hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity about conservation, water stewardship, and the natural world.

Visitors of all ages can explore a variety of activities, including a “Make It Rain” rain barrel toss that demonstrates how rain barrels work, a guided animal-drawing workshop led by River Action’s AmeriCorps members, and clay stamp projects that participants can take home. These activities are designed to meet learners where they are — whether they prefer hands-on exploration or creative observation.

River Action will also feature its interactive Retain the Rain display, highlighting one of the organization’s signature initiatives focused on managing stormwater, reducing run-off, and protecting local waterways.

Staff and volunteers will be available to share more about River Action’s programs, events, and opportunities to get involved.

Young attendees are encouraged to pick up a Bald Eagle Days Passport and explore exhibits throughout the event. River Action’s booth will include wildlife imagery and activities connected to the river and surrounding habitats, helping children make connections between conservation, recreation, and community action.
