Sam’s Club will be donating over $2,500 in pet supplies on Tuesday morning to the Humane Society of Scott County.

“The need for donations increases during the winter months,” said Ryan Wille of the Humane Society of Scott County. “We tend to find more stray animals this time of year. When you feed 300 animals up to three times a day, you run through so much food so this donation is just what we needed for the holidays.”

“The Humane Society of Scott County has so many animals that won’t get their forever home for the holidays,” said Davenport Club Manager Allison Welchans. “In addition to help serving their immediate needs, we wanted to make sure the animals received something nice for the holidays as well.”

Representatives from Sam’s Club and the Scott County Humane Society will be on hand for the donation.

The following items will be donated:

  • Dry dog and cat food
  • Canned cat food
  • Blankets
  • Towels
  • Dog biscuits
  • Toys
  • Cat snacks

WHEN: The event will take place this Tuesday, December 18 at 10 a.m. at the Humane Society of Scott County.
