DAVENPORT, IOWA (August 4, 2020) — Back by popular demand, the Downtown Davenport Partnership (DDP), a division of the Quad Cities Chamber, has organized its third Downtown Davenport Drive-Thru, a local dining-and-shopping event featuring specials at multiple downtown businesses from 1-4PM, Saturday, August 8.

DDP will again offer a “scroll-and-stroll” event giving customers choices in how they access businesses. Scrolling means customers can place orders online or over the phone in advance for curbside pick-up, while strolling opportunities include street-level shopping such as in-store specials, sidewalk sales, and outdoor drinking and dining.

“These scroll-and-stroll events have proven to be very popular with customers,” said DDP Executive Director Kyle Carter. “Our downtown businesses are local, unique, important contributors to our regional economy. This is yet another way to support small businesses and keep your dollars here for the betterment of our community.”

The event will host local musicians Brady Jager of Rude Punch and Alan Sweet of The Candymakers who will play some curbside concerts around the downtown presented by River Music Experience.

For a complete list of participating vendors and their specials, visit Downtown Davenport Partnership on Facebook (@downtowndavenport). Participants are asked to adhere to social-distancing guidelines for Iowa along with the protocols set by each of the participating businesses during this event.
