FAYETTE, IOWA (November 22, 2021) Active military personnel wishing to pursue a master's degree at Upper Iowa University (UIU) will soon benefit from a $250 per credit-hour tuition-rate. The new course rate for graduate students begins with Session 3 courses January 10. UIU undergraduates, who are active in the military, continue to also receive a $250 per credit hour rate.

As part of its long history of working with active military service members as well as veterans and all members of the US military family, UIU also offers the Military Family Grant to all qualified spouses and dependents of active duty, reserve, and National Guard service members. This grant provides a $250 per credit-hour tuition-rate for undergraduate courses and a $325 per credit-hour tuition-rate for all graduate courses. In addition, UIU accepts tuition assistance, veteran's educational benefits, scholarships, and Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA).

To further inspire success and empower lives, UIU provides evening classes, expert faculty, and supportive staff that students need to advance their career while still tending to family, military service, employment, and other day-to-day responsibilities. UIU is also a recognized leader in online and self-paced education, so students never need to go far for an exceptional education.

Students have more than forty majors to choose from, and all utilize a unique, flexible course schedule. Each academic year consists of five eight-week sessions and one accelerated six-week summer session, so UIU students typically take less classes at a time. Other students get a jump on completion by transferring in up to ninety undergraduate credits or twelve graduate credits from other schools. Credits may also be earned via an experiential learning portfolio or various college examinations.

Many current graduate students take one class at a time to allow them to balance work, family, and other commitments in their busy lives. UIU offers Master of Sport Administration, Master of Education, Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Administration, Master of Science in Counseling and Master of Healthcare Administration programs.

A private, non-profit university, UIU provides undergraduate- and graduate-degree programs to about 4,500 students at over twenty US education locations, including its main Fayette, Iowa, Campus.
