BETTENDORF, IOWA (October 8, 2025) — The public is invited to attend a Bettendorf School Board Candidate Forum at 6:30PM, on Wednesday, October 22, moderated and broadcast by KWQC-TV6.

The forum, hosted by the Bettendorf Community School District, will take place at the Bettendorf High School Performing Arts Center, 3333 18th Street.

This year, eight candidates are running for four open seats on the Board of Education:

DES MOINES, IOWA (October 8, 2025) — Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate is reminding Iowans that local elections matter, and it’s time to make a plan to participate in November’s City-School Election.

Iowans can begin casting ballots for the 2025 City-School Election on Wednesday, October 15.

This date marks the first day of Iowa’s absentee period and the first day Iowans can vote in person absentee at their local county election office.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (October 8, 2025) — The Iowa Wolves, the NBA G League affiliate of the Minnesota Timberwolves, have found a new practice home court through a collaboration with Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences.

Under the agreement, the Wolves will train in the gymnasium at DMU32 Health and Business Complex, a university-owned facility recently upgraded to meet NBA specifications.

The team will use the court during the season.
