WEST BRANCH, IOWA (September 30, 2019) — As President, Herbert Hoover increased the area of national parks by 40 percent. David Kroese, author of The Centennial: A Journey Through America's National Park System, presents on over twenty parks that Hoover added or enlarged during his administration. The talk begins at 2PM on Saturday, November 9 in the Visitor Center at Herbert Hoover National Historic Site.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (September 30, 2019) — The Quad City International Airport will have approximately 50% of its current energy-demand paid for with a new rooftop and car-port mounted photovoltaic solar-system. The solar panels will be supported by new canopies covering more than 200 short-term parking-spaces and newly-constructed walkway sidewalks, as well as solar panels on the terminal rooftop.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (September 30, 2019) — A free screening of We Are Still Here will be shown at 6PM, Tuesday, October 8, in Room 146, Charles and Romona Myers Center on the University of Dubuque campus. The screening will be followed by a discussion of the documentary with Valerian Three Irons, one of the film’s producers.
