MOLINE, ILLINOIS (August 26, 2019) — WQPT, PBS for the Quad Cities region will begin airing Ken Burns’ new eight-part 16.5-hour film Country Music, beginning Thursday, September 26 at 8PM. The film is directed by Ken Burns, and produced by Burns and his long-time collaborators Dayton Duncan and Julie Dunfey. The series will stream on station-branded PBS platforms, including PBS.org and PBS apps beginning September 15.

On Saturday, August 31, 2019, the most-organized pick-up baseball-league in the Quad City area will again reward its 22 most consistent regular-season players with a night game at Bettendorf’s Saldivar Field. And The VLB will again collect food for the River Bend Foodbank.
