The controversy around President Donald Trump's recent tweets targeting "The Squad" — four Democratic members of Congress who are all women, all people "of color," and all of whom Trump seems to think aren't "from America" (one came from Somalia as a young woman and became a US citizen at 17; the rest are "natural born" US citizens) — largely centers around perceptions of his personal bigotry.

DES MOINES, IOWA (July 22, 2019) — Attorney General Tom Miller announced that a coalition of 50 attorneys general has reached a proposed settlement with Equifax as the result of an investigation into a massive 2017 data breach. The investigation found that Equifax’s failure to maintain a reasonable security system enabled hackers to penetrate its systems, exposing the data of 56 percent of American adults — the largest-ever breach of consumer data.

The new Workers’ Compensation Electronic System (WCES) will allow the Division to transition from paper filing to electronic filing.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 21, 2019) — Alex Holderbach’s second walk-off home-run of the season propelled the Quad Cities River Bandits past the Bowling Green Hot Rods 4-3 on Sunday evening at Modern Woodmen Park. With two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning and the bases empty, Holderbach drove a fast-ball from Hot Rods reliever Cristofer Ogando over the wall in right-field to spark a celebration near home-plate. The catcher’s first walk-off home-run came in the 12th inning of the home-opener

DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 20, 2019) — The Quad Cities River Bandits fell behind in the early going and had their comeback bid fall just short in a 3-2 loss to the Bowling Green Hot Rods on Saturday night at Modern Woodmen Park. With the Bandits down by a run and two on base in the bottom of the eighth, Alex McKenna’s fly-ball to deep-right was caught against the wall by Jordan Qsar to close the door on the River Bandits best chance at shocking the Hot Rods.
